The Restoration Mandate - Galatians 6:1-10
1. Sin is destructive
2. That is why God calls the church to rescue those who are caught in it.
3. The purpose of such rescuing initiatives are restorative, not punitive.
4. Which is why it is to be done gently.
5. Indeed those doing the restoration must be aware that they themselves can fall too.
6. Which is why only those who are mature spiritually should take leadership in such restorative initiatives.
7. Helping people come back from a pth of sin is one way we carry one another's burdens and fulfill the law of Christ.
It was good seeing Master Jedibaba again, although I didn't expect to and it came as a surprise seeing him walk through the doors of BLC. The first time I heard him speak at BLC, he was just another stranger to me. During the 2nd visit, I was more attentive and we got to talk a little bit. After that, he made his Jedi presence felt on this blog and Sivin told me some of his comments which made me feel unworthy and embarrassed. Today, there was a sense of friendship, and respect. I enjoyed today's service a lot. I'm not one of those weird or fanatical Christians. I accept him for who he is and it's not my place or anyone's to judge his past. We are sinners too, and hey, we're talking restoration here! =) I enjoy his talks, he's a good speaker with lots of good insights and experiences.
For some unexpected reason, Jedibaba said this to me during our first conversation today before service began, "I'd be very surprised if a couple told me they didn't argue. In fact I'd be very worried. It's a good thing when people argue, it shows that they care about something or some things enough". Very interesting, although I don't know why he suddenly talked about couple stuff *haha*

I was digging into my sandwich during refreshments after service when I noticed little Elysia tucked in comfortably and peacefully. I couldn't resist and just snapped away. While taking all those pictures, I couldn't help but notice just as everyone has been, that she looks a whole lot like Gareth did when he was born. Anyway, she's so adorable =) Her hair looks really cool by the way!
I'm gonna cut my hair tomorrow hopefully. Am tired of my hair looking this way and making me feel this way. It's time for a change. I'm also afraid of being like my dad and start balding *gulp* I'd be darned but I reiterate as I always have that if and when I do begin to bald, I'll take it all off. There are a couple of people scaring me by saying my hairline's receding, man...I don't think it has changed since I was in secondary school.
After almost 3 years, I finally became a member of the church library today! I've never been much of a reader, kinda lost the knack for reading since I was a boy. Why? Well, that's a story for another blog entry I guess. I borrowed 2 books today for the first time! One was a recommendation by Sivin, something to help me, called 'Leadership by the Book' and the other is a book with a concept that has intrigued me for a long time, called 'Letters from a skeptic'. I'm not sure yet but I have a feeling I could shoot a short film or something based on a concept like this. We'll just have to wait and see.
Another busy week ended today. Another week with a need for resolution. For now, there isn't one yet. Will there be restoration? Who knows? I'll leave it to God. For now, I'm tired. I need His help. Whatever happens, whatever it is, I'll trust and fear nothing.

Wow..Chin Hor! Impressive! :D Very, very nice pictures (As usual :) Haha..you should be a photographer..not everybody has the eye for it. Hmm, maybe it's time for me to get a good camera. It helps doesn't it? Mine isn't very good..the quality doesn't even come close to yours..:) Haha. Anyway, I'll catch up with yah sOon. Keep it up!
Thanks Kimokini! =) I'm not good enough to be a photographer lah...I only half agree that a good camera helps. First, just use any type of camera and snap away. It's the content, or in this case, subject that's more important, remember? =) But in saying that, having a good camera is a bonus. I like your pictures also, keep attempting! And think of that story and write that script of yours!
beautiful picture of Elysia in her Mr. T look and also a good post! The Libriarians must be very happy that got new business! :-)
